i never use it in my lessons. non of my student´s could play this stuff, nor have they reached a level where they take an intresst in this stuff.
YES i made it for us here at the foro. Theres a little bit of everything in there. over the years we do lots of diffrent exersices so this is just a little part of it.

you should realy get gp, it´s more fun than doing it to a metrenome also it´s good for repetition. i set repeat on 4,8 or 16 times and let it go round.

well combos= finger COMBINATIONS
not just the P a m i or P i a m i. play any. thats why i´ve writen P i m ,P m i, P.a i , P i a , P i m a, P a m i , p i am i, p i m a m i. Even. P i P M, Any "combo"
I belive in controling the whole hand. not just the typical most comon fingerings

This is very valuable stuff. Thanks for sharing...
I have a question about the "Warm up and technique thumb" part. Be prepared, there may be some others to come... When I play this kind of stuff, I use only the thumb and my wrist is totally stiff. I wonder if this is the right thing to do. I have seen several players using only the wrist, particularlly for fast licks. What do you think?
RE: a little collection of exersices... (in reply to El Becko)
Try to get a copy of Gerardo Nuñez "Encuentro" DVD He shows it very well.
The "proper" technique IMO would be to use the wrist. More than just the thumb. I try to let the thumb "jump" or "Bounce" on the strings while i play that kind of passage. Play it very slow and repeat untill the short sections of 16th notes feels like one movment. not 4 independet strokes. Lite touch and bouncey feel
Also i would say it depends on what you play. Im sure it´s not always nessesary to use the wrist or "bounce"

Henrik, thanks so much. This stuff is so fantastically useful. You mentioned a GP version of these exercises - that would be great. My email is bineshh@gmail.com

Henrik, thanks for the advice.
It is funny you refer to Gerardo Nunez DVD. As a matter of fact, I saw him doing a live performance 2 weeks ago. 2 amazing shows. I was lucky enough to be on the very first row for the 2 shows, I stood just a very few meters from him and I actually noticed that he was playing this kind of licks with the wrist... and then I started to wonder wether I took the wrong habit...
Anyway, I gave it a try during the week end. I found it less comfortable to play with the wrist. I obviously need to experiment a lot more. A week end is not enough for sure... so I will keep working on that. Another thing is that the movement is bigger, which should imply less precision and more difficulties to play fast. So... anyone knows why the movement should come from the wrist ??
