Jerez for a month

I am thinking of heading out to Jerez in Jan to spend a month there learning.

Has any member done this?
If so any recos on well located hotels to stay at or are Airbnb's best?

Looking for something central enough but also peaceful and quiet and a bit upscale as I value my comfort. So no hostels or cheapo places.

Any tips appreciated from those who have actually put boots on the ground (not only on hotels but anything else too related to Jerez!)

Also should I take my own guitar or just pick up something cheap whilst there?
I was told theft is an issue - unsure though if this is reality or just another urban legend.

If you hold off for the jerez festival late February, or overlap with it, I will likely be there and we can find stuff together.

We have just come back from 3 weeks in Jerez. We were there in July and it was 38 degrees. We always stay air b&b but anywhere near Plaza Arenal is not cheap (we paid $1950 Aus for 10 days for a 2 bed Apartment) If you go when the festival is on expect to pay more.
One good thing about air b&b is you cook your own meals. The market nearby has wonderful food selections at cheap prices compared to back in Australia.
Within walking distance try Tabanco de la Feria a small bar with Flamenco every night at reasonable prices. If you see guitarist you like you ask if they teach and most do.
Over the last few years I have has good lessons with Augustin de la Fuente .Jesus Agarrado and Jesus Alvarez . Also another good teacher from there is Santiago Moreno.

Several years ago I was in Jerez for the flamenco festival. It was great. I’ve been to Spain about 9,10 times to learn Flamenco, and found Spain very safe. But do not put your guitar in the cargo bay of the bus even if the driver asks you to. I lost a guitar that way. From there on, I take the train. Enjoy your time in Jerez.

Thanks for the tips.
Accomodation is too expensive during the feria and also there is not much availability so I will be avoiding that time.
I will take my Conde but will guard it carefully, its just a hassle really because so many people told me about theft there. But I think it will be more hassle to try to find a cheap student guitar with decent setup.
Whats the point of lessons if the guitar is not comfortable to play
