Amir Madanpishe Instruction Videos

These YouTube videos have a nice format featuring the music of many guitarists, with both standard notation and tabs running along the bottom of a screen showing actions of the hands. There are often two or three speeds, at normal tempo (with or without the notes), and slower versions with the notes. Notes easier to see in HD.

Haven't found anything close to Amir's style of instruction. Lots of instruction videos, but all I've found fall far short of the level of playing and flexibility of tempo that Amir offers.

Has anyone found something comparable to these videos, by someone other than Amir?

nice, but these are not "tutorial" instructional, he is just playing through the pieces. We can slow down videos for a long time now so the extra performances slower are redundant.

I feel that falsetas are "fair use" for teachers of flamenco, however these full transcriptions are totally illegal infringements, you must pay royalties on these pieces after acquiring mechanical licenses. Considering the robot copyright trolls out there I am surprised people get away with this to this degree. I would download the ones I like if I were you before they get taken down.

Agreed, they are not tutorials. It is a "style of instruction," and it has been very helpful. I don't think it's a matter of legality, after all, they promote the artist's works and it's not a commercial venue. Except for Youtube showing adverts or charging.

I do look for other videos that are helpful to this degree. I think that the level of effort going into making these is quite great, and the idea here is to appreciate that. Freedom of expression here should not be censored.

Are you familiar with Giacomo Turra?

At least this chap has credited the composer but I think Ricardo is right that the transcriptions may be copyright infringement.

They do seem good videos though.

I was not, before you mentioned him.

We would not have the Flamenco we have today, if musicians and dancers had to check with lawyers before they performed or gave instruction. So much of this art form is based on imitation and copying to learn, and then giving it new form so that it evolves.

PS- I'm glad you like the videos!

I know that channel , specialy from the Moraito Feria del Caballo , one of the best tutorial or even the best (theres very few people cover it with a tutorial and even with this quality) , altough he doesnt have too much stuff .

Theres a lot of people , specialy spanish with a lot of work/tutorial and nice ones.

non spanish you ve got Ricardo Marlow and "Estilo Flamenco" from Francisco Antonio

Thanks, Manitas. I had not seen the Moraito Feria del Caballo. Yes, very challenging!

Moraito is a decent teacher himself. This video and book is commercially available making the guy's "free play through" a copyright violation as I explained...he is negating the need to purchase the artist product. You can see clips here at :40 where he is actually explaining how does the rasgueado and such (different than your guy). As I said, it is a matter of time so I would download the guys vids sooner than later.
