I remember seeing a video of a Gerardo Núñez concert where he played Los Caños de Meca at an incredible speed; saw it a few years ago. It was insane to witness and I haven't rewatched it in a while. A few days ago I started searching for it and it's nowhere to be found. Where do these videos go? Do you guys have any videos of Gerardo playing pre 2008 or the video in question?

I have one on my old computer that I no longer find on YouTube, maybe from 2005 or 6. I will have to dig for it, but if I find it I will throw it up on YouTube and post it here. The working title changed to "Calima" after that album came out.

Funny you mention this. I was just about to post that i'd just been rewatching that after few years. But not to study. Just to watch him play. Bloody hell!!! I mean it's easy to forget must how amazing he is, was, played then. I've seen gerardo up close teaching and playing post 2010... so you sort of get used to it and a lot of the time, I was watching him teach bits and pieces..
The encuentro stuff is just fantastic. Effortless. .

I just rewatched his encuentro stuff. I refuse to believe my ears; how clean is that guitar sound?! It's so perfect there's no way Gerardo isn't an alien Pulgar and picado seem especially unreal
