hmm sometimes it is best not to overthink things.

It seems the true secret is to have a reverb/delay effect where the notes become an amorphous blob. Then you have a real drone effect with the tremolo?

Interesting idea. Perhaps for people with dystonia it is a thing to try....much like gloves the touch sensitivity might help. However, the sound of eveness is best heard using the mute under the strings near the bridge. It is pretty eye opening and most timing issues, not just tremolo, get scrutinized.

Yes, the true test is to hear it with no effects in a room that deadens the sound. That sorts out the men from the boys.
