This is bad. I had secretly wished for a repeat of the shakti tour I saw last year. I guess I have to just be thankful for that memory. My favorite piece:

Rest easy. He was an incredible virtuoso. I remember being introduced to listen him by my tabla master back when I used to learn tabla and was left speechless

"Lotus Feet," with McLaughlin and Jean-Luc Ponty. Notice how McLaughlin steps aside so as not to interfere in the mindmeld between the other two. I came across this video a few days ago and immediately noticed how full and round the percussion is and how well it fills all the spaces. First I'd seen of this guy, and I heard about his death only yesterday. RIP.
