Gluing IMA vs Just the thumb.

I was curious what the general consensus is on gluing IAM since it seems it’s more common to just glue the thumb. I’ve been gluing my thumb sometime when I started about 2 years ago or so I stopped when I stepped away from the guitar but recently started again. Now I’m just frustrated with my I and M nails for picado and arpeggio, I finally took the plunge and put a layer of silk and glue and I’m loving it. My playing is far more dynamic with more projection, my picado is more precise and faster and my arpeggios don’t catch at all really anymore. My index was the worst since it was hooked, I guess I don’t have super thick nails either. The hook tends to catch, but now that’s it’s thicker it leaves a more flat section when I file under the nail. Of course I have always used a ramp on I and M which after much experimentation is ideal for me. What does everyone else do? For those that don’t do anything to your nails, I’m jelious. I’ve also tried acrylic powder and glue but I really prefer the silk, it’s more natural and easier to apply, it also seems to last longer.
