RE: Jovenes cantaores (in reply to Morante

Saw few of them live, none compare to Samuel Serrano if we are talking about young singers, saw him live in teatro del Falla with Cepero, really impressed me:

Rancapino chico is quite overrated in my opinion, I guess it's his father that got him recognition, not his skills as a singer that are average to my ear. Saw him live twice along with other singers performing.

"El Wilo" del puerto deserves more recognition than he has, he was recently in tierra del talento show. Really liked his performance in peña flamenca, wish there was more performances like that to find. Reminds me a bit of legend El Cabrero.
Some sweet chops by the guitarist also:

Maria can sing very well, and Israel certainly has talent. But my thing, I guess, is the concept of “Joven” just doesn’t apply to any of these people. They all have been singing for a long time already. I guess the learning curve has extended such that truly “young” people get into flamenco later in life these days. Are there zero 20 year old cantaores worth their salt?

Zaira Malena is married to Enrique Moneo (son of Luis) and has three children, but I’m going to guess she’s in her early-to-mid 20s. Here she is with her brother on guitar and her father Antonio (the kid in Rito singing siguiriyas with Moraíto):
