Hi all,

I´m Miguel. I´m from Chile, currently living in the UK.
I´ve been playing flamenco for years, and I´d like to participate/contribute to this community.

Welcome, Miguel. You have come to the right place for flamenco, and other topics as well.

I had the good fortune to be assigned to the American Embassy in Santiago for three years, 1987-1990. Loved the country. Traveled all over, from the Atacama in the north to Torres del Paine and Punta Arenas in the south. Beautiful and geographically diverse.

Bill

Hi everyone! I am Yannaki Arrizza. I'm a Spanish guitarist and a multi-instrumentalist specializing in New Age and World music in general. My music is quite eclectic, having elements of Spanish/Nuevo Flamenco, New Age & World styles with strong Electronic and New Age influences. I have been playing guitar and a musician for 21 years, having started playing guitar in 2003. I have used Foro Flamenco for years during my learning years for tips and advice. My musical heritage goes way back though, as my dad was an aspired singer (his voice was similar to Neil Diamond in his prime) and my mom often sung around the house. I was exposed to a world of music listening to a lot of the music of my heritage: a lot of Latin music from Julio Iglesias, Jose Jose and more, a lot of Italian, Sicilian, Greek music from Domenico Modugno, Toto Cutugno, Brigan Tony, George Dalaras...etc...I also listened to a lot of music of my parent's era from the 70's. So I had an artistic musical background. In search of my calling, I tried saxophone in 4th grade, then piano/keyboards in 1998-2002. It wasn't until 2003 I played guitar, and never turned back. Fast forward to later, I incorporated the guitar and my knowledge with keyboards and synth to create my unique sound. (I also play other instruments such as the Turkish saz, Greek bouzouki and mandolin).

I started my official music career in 2014 when I released my first album, Arrizza, which was a mix of Spanish guitar, New Age, Electronic and World sounds. I released two more albums that were more Electronica/New Age-based and have released several singles, one of which earned me a nomination in the 2022 OWMR awards. My mission has been very simple: to share my "inner" world and expression through music across the globe and touch hearts with a calming message of "Peace, Love & Joy".
