New Member - Trying to Learn

Hello everyone. I am a a new member to the forum. I am glad that this forum exists. I am in the process of trying to learn flamenco guitar. As a former classical guitar player, I can say that flamenco is more challenging. Getting good with the right hand takes a lot of practice, and there are more techniques (rasqueados, pulgar, golpe, etc) to learn.

I joined the forum so that i could speed up my learning process. Right now I am just using books and videos, but i hope to find a teacher who can guide me through a disciplined and structured path toward getting good.

If you read this post and have any suggestions, please let me know. I live in Atlanta, in the USA, so the instruction will probably have to be online. Thanks!!!

Welcome to the foro!

Some of the contributors here are both accomplished professional players and teachers, like Ricardo Marlow or Grisha Goryachev. I've never taken classes from them myself, but based on their contributions here I'm sure they're great! There are others that are in the US but that I'm probably forgetting right now. Often they'll have a link to their website as a signature beneath each of their posts, so if you explore the archives a bit or just follow the discussions going on right now, you'll probably discover some teachers here or there.

Thanks for replying to my post. I will reach out and contact Grisha. I have seen him on YouTube. Very Very good guitar player.... I appreciate the advice
