Ahh, one of my very favourite musical people. I'm not keen on some of the stuff he felt he had to do for publicity, like this. But a lot of Zappa fans lapped up this kinda thing.

I never really got into Frank Zappa. During the mid to late-'60s my favorite groups were The Mamas and The Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, and Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Perhaps not as "exciting" as Zappa and others, but really great music. I still have many vinyl albums from that era. And to think that today people are discovering the joy of vinyl recordings!

Really great music indeed.

I loved Zappa when I was a nipper. He made a lot of very different music. But Roxy and Elsewhere was the first Zappa album I heard, and I was hooked from thereon.
