Well, not a novel idea for horns to function in flamenco as the “voice”.



I was gonna point out Aranjuez but he uses it as a “bridge” since it is the lead instrument in the adagio (around 10min). However, Pharaon by Gipsy Kings around 11 is silly to me. And as an American I can’t stop laughing at the implications of the Spanish wording.

Ooh yeah that's unfortunate. Now I have this image in my head of a very confused American tourist overhearing two Spaniards talk about a black bassoon...
