Getting knocked off

I don't know what is wrong, but, when I log in, I get logged in, but whenever I try to post or look at the forums, I get knocked off and the message that "i'm not a member" or whatever. So, I don't know if this is part of the problem that Simon says he is haveing problems with?

Anyway, I log in, but when I try and look around, I get "access denied" and then I look and it says that I'm logged in as a "guest" again??

Help!

Merle

We still have a problem with our SQL Server. I know about it but it's in the hands of our hosters.

One of my favorite terms as a programmer is “I have been hosed”! It refers (in my neighborhood) to something a program or hardware did to kick you out. For a major application I did about 9 years ago I wrote an error routine which had a picture of a coiled garden hose spitting water full stream at the side of the CRT. Every time there was an error, the hose would appear. Everyone cracked up! We did not send that version to the Hospitals who were our clients however!

Hopefully, SQL Server will be stable soon. Somehow I equate "Hoster" with "getting hosed"!

You know what it's like

The hoster has been struggling with Windows 2003 Server patches from Microsoft as well as a dodgy box on which ours is sitting. If this get's silly I can move the database somewhere else but it's always a risk, and more work

Simon;

Excuse my comment: Windows 2003 solves all your problems!

We have over 50 servers at work. When the production line (Toyota/General Motors) goes down we loose $36,000 each minute. We tend to not use the latest thing from Microsoft except for patches! Seems like patches are coming very frequently these days.

Soon it will be a perfect world - I hope!
