I had never noticed it before but recently when I was following a Manuel Cano piece of music, I realised my guitar tuning is a lot lower when using Kliqtuner. I have to raise it 4 or 5 bars above to match the correct pitch. Do I need to change the tuner and what should I get? I used to have a Snark ST2 and I gave it away to a friend thinking I have the new Kliq!

Make sure your tuner is set at 440 pitch (the photo seems to suggest that). It is very possible that the tune you are playing was not recorded at 440 pitch or the music was sped up in the final recording.

Hi Etta, as you can see, my Kliqtuner is indeed in 440 chromatic. I checked with a tuning fork and the tuner is indeed too low. I may get another Snark just to test it out but a tuning fork is still amazingly reliable.

I though this only happend with me :-) I had a tuning app which turned out to be slighly off and a low end tuner where after years of using I realised some higher strings where off. Thus I bought a more expensive Korg tuner which is currently still satisfying

I have for a decade a Korg N222 tuner. Very good. The benefit I like is, you can tune on herz instead of sound. Perfect in a noizy surrounding or with other musicians.
