In defence of el Cigala. Maybe worthless, but beautiful.
He was good at that time but some how changed his technique and sound after this, not for the better. His bulerias are great but the issue I had was with his interpretation of solea that seemed off to me, which he again does something similar with Serneta attempt at 6:45. He is a camaronero but usually Camaron was careful with that stuff.
Comfortable in a jail cell last night, apparently. His wife filed a suit against him for domestic violence.

I performed with Kina Mendez years ago. I am not clear if that is his wife or not, does anybody know? Maybe she criticized him for mixing Serneta and Joaquin de Paula like I did?
cigala's first wife died years ago, i think its some colombian lady he got mixed up with, from what I've read on FB, alot are accussing of a money grab for a settlement.
for me, i like some of cigala's singing, picasso en mis ojos is a really nice album, the guitar with manuel parilla and diego del morao is awesome.
