Just a note to let anyone interested know that Book Two is available published by Schott. I ordered mine through The Guitar Center here in the Chicago area for $28.00.
Book one contains the CD for both books, so I bought that as well, which was in stock. If one is only interested in Book Two check with your supplier to be sure it comes with the CD. Gerhard does a good job of explaining each form with excellent written and audio examples.
Of the various Method Books, I put this one at the top. Bob
RE: Gerhard Graf-Martinez Book Two (in reply to sbarnard)
Book one is very basic. It covers Tangos, Rumba and Solea, with a small intro into Taranto, Garrotin, Fandango, Sevillanas and Alegria. His rumba stuff is very up to date.
It also does a good job with Ras. and Pulgar techniques. The illustrations(photos) along with excelent writing is very helpful. Gerdard has included bios of some of the most famous guitarists along with photos.
I got my book-one from the strore in Lombard (last copy) although they still have the Gipsy Rumba Book in stock. This is a more advanced by book by Garhard covering only Rumba.
