Hola chaps, The thread title says it all really. A couple of my guitars have decidely dog -eared looking tuning pegs, so I've decided to fit them both with new sets..... only trouble is.... I live in the North of England! Anyone know where I could get a couple of sets from in England?

Most of us use viola pegs so any good fiddle shop should be able to get them. And fit them too if you need them to. GEWA is a European supplier of violin family tools, like peg shapers and peg reamers. I believe they also sell pegs. Google them and see what you find.
He has most things and knows his trade. He used to supply to the London School of furniture. I have used him for wood and the goods he sent were of good standard.
Ted, As far as I know, both the websites I gave links to also stock violin pegs. And as Aaron says, they are fairly cheap. But be careful, because having them fitted to your guitar is not always cheap.
I only know because I ordered a new set of pegs for my violin, thinking they would automatically fit. they didn't, and I was quoted about £50 for the fitting service. also, some shops are fussy, and insist you buy "their pegs" if you want them fitted, which is rather silly. But also I think a few violin worshops may refuse to work on a guitar because its an unfamiliar instrument.
Your best bet would be to take the pegs to your own luthier to have them fitted, or failing that, fit them yourself. I'm afraid a peg shaver usually costs between £30-50, depending on where you get it, which is a bit steep for a large pencil-sharpener. You might find one cheaper on ebay if you're lucky.
Although if you don't feel confident performing the task yourself, its probably best to get your luthier to do it.
