You have perhaps overdo things, so it is not wise to practice with this thing before seeing a doctor. Besides this, your muscles you can train your tendons not.
Your hand was strong enough to do everything you wanted, it is certainly strong enough to play guitar. So, if rest will not help, see a doctor and leave the practice thing in the box, it will do more harm than good.
