cajon method

I have this drummer friend who would like to get into accompanying me with cajon.
I think that would be great fun ! But he doesn't know how to play it.
Is there a method/dvd anyone knows of ?

Hi Koella !

You may want to refer to some previous posts about cajon tutorial stuff where we discussed some other references... http://www.foroflamenco.com/tm.asp?m=30891&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1

I think I'll go for the first DVD of the McGill serie but I did not have a chance to try it yet. Maybe Ramin has some feedback now...

Cheers,
Philippe

There are a few methods over there.
I think the best one is Nan Mercader's book LA PERCUSION EN EL FLAMENCO, that includes a dvd in its last version.
There's too the Guillermo Mc Guill, but more than a method I think s a dvd of self completing music...

And there's anothere one, the Método DALE, that I think it's so poor.
