Golpeador

Hello.

I'm learning flamenco on a classical guitar and I wouldn't want to punch a whole in it just yet (I'll eventually get a proper flamenco guitar once I've progressed a bit).

Do you need a special type of tap plate for flamenco guitars or are they mostly all the same? (plain transparent two-piece)

I was looking at this one here

Thanks.

They look like they would do it but they are tricky to apply properly. You'll get some advice here.

This ones are without glue. If my spanish is good enough....

You can put them up quite easaly and get them off quite easaly too.
One of my students used this for more than a year without problem.

Maybe, save one up, in the beginning you only need one for the lower soundboard, if they are “Static” you can use both sides to attach it.

Good luck,

And ehhhh welcome here! Good to see you around.

I bought a really cheap tablet screen protector (1eur or so) to use as a golpeador. Been banging on it for two years and it is in better shape than any of the "real" golpeadores I've ever had. No bubbles or deep cuts, only very small scratches.

Oh ok so that's what they mean by electrostatico. I have to get some sleep...

I had thought of making my own as I'm always dabbling in DIY but my brand new Paco Castillo doesn't deserve such bad treatment

I've noticed some flamenco guitars with really worn-down sound boxes on youtube videos. So I assume golpeadores are some kind of a modern nicety.

No, it is quite old, in the past they made them from wood. Mostly maple
