Tomatito in London

Just read Simons report on Tomatito's show at the Royal Albert Hall, London UK. (Special reports section of the Deflamenco site) Nice piece of writing Simon; well done. Thought you were quite fair about the whole thing and it kept my attention. Bit of good British humour thrown in for good measure ((-:

Im hoping to see Juan Martin and Radio Tarifa (different dates of course) in Manchester
in Feb 2004. Might even send in some comments (-: .

Best.

Jim.

They would be most welcome and Estela might be able to use more of our International Anglophonic capacity In exchange for a link to forflamenco.com from deflamenco.com of course

Hi Melchor.

I confine most of my posts these days to the flamencodancer web site (Of which I am now the proud owner ((-:).

One of the main reasons is that , being a non musician, I can't offer much on a basically guitarists website such as this or FT. I'm fine on dance and general flamenco, and I'm always around and read all the posts here with interest, but when it comes to the mechanics of music I just listen and appreciate.

I have the greatest respect for all musicians but don't pretend to be one, unfortunately. Getting a little old for dance workshops now though, so I may just pluck up courage to pick up my guitar again one of these days. Nothing for any of you to worry about though, as I play guitar like Gene Krupa on a bad day . ((-:

Best. Jim.

HI Jim

Then I should sign in for Flamenco Dancer. I unsuscribed because I was getting too many e mails together with all the junk mail. So everytime I went to the library to check my emails I spent one hour deleting most. I feel the same way regarding technicalities of music. Although I read most of the posts with interest I have little to say regarding music. I know what I know but I wouldn´t be able to express it in words. I watch as much flamenco as I can. I know what is good and bad, but I wouldn´t be able to write a review like Simon, Estela or you. For me tha main aim of a forum is to make friends so we can get together and watch flamenco or just talk about it having a drink. So far I have succeded. I have met Fergus, PHil, Estela, Simon, Emma, Gino,Marty Dow adn hope to meet many others.

Un saludo

Melchor
