Damn ... Coming back to the foro and seeing what´s up ... Couldn´t find any explanation from Simon anywhere, but the situation seems clear. Hacking AHs´ triumph. Contemporary up-to-date. A post above just gave me thoughts. Could uncommercial places like this be eyed as reduced frequency to ad- and marketing-centered domains? The less places like the foro the more clicks for commercials there can be. 'Perfection' if finally any actually social platform be erased, with trillions of additional earnings through orphaned hobbyists, passionists, pros and casuals who then be spending their online time by scrolling through supply offerings instead related to their current subject. There might still exist "communities" where controlled user´s information may be exchanged, but you´ll be staying on the commercial domain´s site and its sales layout. And it will hardly be that cozy. To be true, since years have I been wondering if the internet could be staying free in any of that sense for long. After all it allows for very valuable information of which much after all is suited to lessen commercial turn over. Customers get a notion and overview over product quality. A benefit to a smaller number of providers of efficient goods and a disadvantage to bulk sales of lesser refined stuff. A 'problem'; the more as dream-like cashing in tends to skip on R&D on top. Right now makers of a smart phone count with 87 billion bucks turnover only just for the coming Christmas season. Their Dow Jones comrades are used to thelike numbers as well. Yet, the ceiling has to be pushed higher still. Seems the new hype being licensing of brands now. Kind of obstetrics to already feasting corporations. Anyway, sorry for the blurb. Actually and first of all I wanted to bow to Simon for all of his dear engagement. A really fine guy, anyway. Taking all the efforts only just for passion and appreciation of the art. And the members. As has been said, an "old lady". Beyond average, very entertaining and educating up to great level or detail; and then again, displaying conservation or restiveness like ... an old lady, right. hehe Since my old lady passed away at the very latest: I like them old ladies. And there have been so many chaps of whom I always liked to read what they got to say. Some popping up like small sunrises with their genuinely kind spirit. :O) Certainly don´t like to see them vanishing. Similar with past conversations. In general, but also for possibly checking one´s own forgotten gatherings too. Over the past years it happened 2 or 3 times that I found a letter somewhere while actually searching for a document or such. One of it at that time was from only just a half year or so before. And I was surprised to read special details that were just as entertaining on a topic as they were forgotten already. (At times bits that had been years or decades old, which though were sorted out by the brain´s librarian by then.) Amazing. Context as if from the mouth of someone else. For today´s curious minds memorized data might be removed and replaced in a way larger scale than one might think. Certainly interesting when checked out. (Though never having grabbed the box full with old letters, yet. -Always imagining a stay in a hospital with a broken leg or such, to then be taking the time for it.) Unless a current lawsuit succeeding, I have finally been looted for good, bites after bites over the past 10 years. Currently not even servicing house and car. And my account abroad looks like lethally consumptive. If it could contribute to maintaining the forum, I would like to cover a year or so as paying member. Unfortunately, however cannot tell about the future. (A tiny start-up with a friend looking promising in view of samples, but I could as well be forced to sell house next year. -Which would mean putting down the dogs. TOTAL horror. -You really can´t find accountable adoptive parents here.) You could be finding ol´me returned to the civilized world, ... sitting at the railway station with an open guitar case or so. Me, who prefers gigging in the closet. Whatever. Darn, guys. Bad news about the foro and future reading from you. :O[
