Well acxtually, this one is just a prototype. I plan to make more of them in the future, so that if the guitar making career falls through, I can sell cejillas instead!
But what I really want to do is try copying some of the conde style cejillas- some of them are reallycomplex.
If anyone knows of any good books or websites with more details on cejilla making please let me know!
Here are some pictures of the plane I made. I call it the "Mouse Plane" because it is small and shaped like a mouse... it even has a little "eye" made out of rosewood which is actually the crosspin to hold the blade wedge.

second pic, shows the base. I still need to make a blade for the plane, and it will eventually sit underneath the wedge and protrude from the small slot you can see in the base:

Peter (Gerundino), Thanks for the PM. Your idea is EXCELLENT, and I think it would work very well with certain types, like you mentioned. It would also be quite easy to do... much easier than making the cejilla itself! When I get a chance to try it out, I may even send you one to thank you for the inspiration.
Good luck with the sculpting... maybe you should try sculpting out of wood sometime!
It is not a secret, but all the world can read what we write here, so, to profit from something, and keep it among ourself, it is not wise to post everything everywhere.
But if anybody is really curious, send me an email, and I share it with you.
