p-am-p Rasgueado - all strings?

Hello,
I've looked at my p-am-p rasgueado and I think I don't always catch all strings. Is it important to catch all strings or do you think the abanico should concentrate more on the bass/treble strings?
thanks in advance

Depends on the situation and what you're trying to achieve. Depends on what chord you're playing as well. In practice, I would practice everything, try to hit just the trebles, just the bass, just the middle strings, all the strings, etc.

Eso
Completely context specific. Practice all of those.

Put another way, I almost never use this technique called "marote", vs the other p-a-i equivalent, UNLESS I am voicing ALL 6 strings of the chord. That would sort of mean yes in theory, hit all 6...but in reality it might be because the technique targets 3 different string groups. I would have to analyze it in detail, and don't feel like doing that. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
Ricardo, for the p-a-i rasgueado you don't hit all 6 strings? What should I do to practice the p-a-i rasgueado? Hitting all 6 strings or less?

It's not that I don't...I CAN get away with voicing very small chords with P a I abanico....but with Marote I cannot. Practice very precise rhythmic evenness with varying dynamics on many different types of chords, you will soon figure it out.
