Is there any sort of a flamenco scen...

Hi there, I'm new to this forum so Que tal ?
Does anybody know if there is a flamenco scene in the Warwickshire area ? I've only just sourced a flamenco guitar tutor and only been playing the guitar since Jan 2005.
Any information would be most welcomed , thankyou.

Well, although the Birmingham and Nuneaton penas are now consigned to history there are a lot of dancers and players. Where abouts are you and which teacher did you find? I think there is a weekend workshop coming up in March and there's usually a guitar as well as dance class but not sure of the level. Karenanne

I think I know Matt - if he's the one who plays for Rosie's classes? I'll post workshop details when I have them. They'll be organised by Ana Garcia who teaches at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. Will also let you know of anything else going on in the area. Hope your playing goes well. Karenanne ps if it is the same Matt tell him Karenannne and David (another flamenco guitar teacher) say hi and hope to see him soon.
