Next podcast episode: QUESTIONS FOR ...

Hello, friends.
The flamenco guitarist Raul Mannola will be my guest on The Flamenco Podcast.
His website is http://raulmannola.com/
He will be, probably, on the 4th episode (I already have a guest for the 3rd one)

He is open for questions, he'll be glad to read them on this thread and he will answer them in the podcast.
So if you are interested, please answer this thread and Raul will read the questions.
You can ask about the guitar, flamenco or any other issue.

Thank you in advance, I hope you'll enjoy it.

Just watched his videos, what a beast!
Who were his favorite cantaores to play for? Who would he want to play for that he hasn't? and what's in his CD player right now? Flamenco or not.....(I know it's an outdated term but you know what I mean. Lol )

Your podcasts are great man thank you for sharing!

And his career came to a shocking close when he answered "Taylor Swift".

I'd be interested to hear him talk some about the Cordoba Conservatory. What were the main things he learned there that he may not have learned elsewhere, what the pros and cons of an "official" training like that are. (say from the point of view of someone who has been looking into joining that Conservatory but hasn't made up their mind yet )

Hola Raul!

It was about seven years ago I was helping you when you moved from Córdoba to Madrid. After living so many years here in Andalucia .. Yeah, lots of stuff too, heavy wooden furnitures, two cats, one bailaora Eleonora and the piano. How is the flamenco life in Madrid? What kind of period these 7 years has been? Here everybody seems to love flamenco, what about there? You had couple of years ago projects with Antonio Rey, you still work with him?

It's me Pekka, from a little mountain pueblo Carratraca near Malaga

What does he consider the most underrated palo? i.e. which is the best of the old palos not being played enough these days?

GOOD NEWS.

Hello, friends.
Last sunday I attended a "solo guitar" flamenco show in Madrid. The player was...Raul Mannola.

He played tarantas, malagueñas, alegrías, minera...
There wasn't any other instrument or player on stage, and that was awesome because in situations like this is when you notice who can and who can't really play. And Raul played very very well.

After the show he spent more than 30 minutes with me, answering every question you made and some other questions from me. He was super nice.

I'll edit the audio clips as soon as possible and I'll share the interview here.

By the way, I'm going to start a new thread. I can try to interview more people and I'd love to know who would you like me to interview.
