solea vs

just a small inquiry, all these recent posts via video and tab - doesnt anyone play solea or taranto anymore? its seems like most are buleria. oh well, dont want to start anything, just curious.

My phases come and go. I have actually been listening to about 40 different cantes de levante the last few weeks. Before that, I listened mostly to solea ("Homenaje a Chaqueta" could make a T-rex cry). Not that I prefer one over another, to me cante simply is cante, duende comes in many forms.

Right now it's a historical timeframe in which buleria is very popular. Before that it was the golden age of fandango. Don't know why.

Also, anyone notice a lot of solea por buleria lately and a dismissal of regular solea in recordings? Duquende will include a regular solea on his upcoming CD. Can't wait.

i think im into soleá and siguiriyas most of the time. If it´s bulerias i prefer basic stuff like
Tomatios last bulerias on his paseo de los castaños CD. Or Luis Fernandez ''El Zambo'' that kind of style. i also have a thing for Fandangos de Huelva, but verdiales i just can´t stand

yes there was an attempt at tongue in cheek friviolity in my post. again I did not want to start anything or offend anyone so Im sorry if it seemed so, there just seemed to be deluge of buleria lately that had me curious. thanks for reminding me of those mp3 posts.
