picado exercise by Gerardo Nunez at ...

Here is a nice picado exercise from Nunez that I got from the Encuentro books. This scale is used frequently in Farruca i believe.. ok thnks...

Nice exercise and well played. I like that one too, its good for working on string crossing, but that's an A major scale and Farrucas are traditionally in A minor, so no it wouldn't be used.

I know farruca is typically played in a minor. You just finish it off in a minor. The pattern is very common in farruca. I must have regressed and turned into a beginner. 😀 The scale is used with taconeo....

My picado has always been pretty miserable so when that farruca picado was called for, I'd start getting antsy as we'd get closer to it. I'd be telling myself " Relax, you can do it......I hope......" Some days it came out better than others. Paco doing it like that......wow.

Also Paco Penas toques flamencos Farruca ends with a major scale picado, and I think the Farruca in Juan Martins book and as well maybe Nino Miguels farruca Mi Padre.
EDIT: nevermind, just Juan Martin lol

Yeah i knew it was simaler but i listened again and heared that it was minor. Nice picado though hombre!
Do they not have gravity in Guadalupe??? lol
