Nice exercise and well played. I like that one too, its good for working on string crossing, but that's an A major scale and Farrucas are traditionally in A minor, so no it wouldn't be used.

I know farruca is typically played in a minor. You just finish it off in a minor. The pattern is very common in farruca. I must have regressed and turned into a beginner. 😀 The scale is used with taconeo....

Exactly... Thanks for that Ricardo... Man, the way he accelerates with the footwork is amazing... Then when he reaches top speed, that is just crazy! The bailador can't keep up with him. Well, that's Paco. I have that album by the way but haven't listened to it in a long time.

My picado has always been pretty miserable so when that farruca picado was called for, I'd start getting antsy as we'd get closer to it. I'd be telling myself " Relax, you can do it......I hope......" Some days it came out better than others. Paco doing it like that......wow.

Also Paco Penas toques flamencos Farruca ends with a major scale picado, and I think the Farruca in Juan Martins book and as well maybe Nino Miguels farruca Mi Padre. EDIT: nevermind, just Juan Martin lol

It's in Em, but the sequence is quite similar...

Those pre-picado apprehension moments - don't you love em!! It's like, "Relax and don't **** this up!" Lol!! Get it right and it could come out like this...
