Very sad, I knew a bartender at the rainbow bar so in my early twenties I would go all the time and Lemmie was always there. One day I finally worked up the nerve to say "Hey Lemmie I love Motörhead!" He said "Cheers mate what are you drinking?" He bought me a drink and entertained my Motörhead questions for a good five minutes. After that we'd wave when we'd see each other there. Very very nice guy, more terrible news.
It was an honour to see him in the audience at one of our gigs in the 80s. Shorter than I imagined but a straight up bloke. Not sure what he thought of us, but we were very loud and very heavy, so I assume we passed muster.

Wow! That'd be amazing! And amazingly nerve racking for me!
