Festival Flamenco Gitano 1969

A short clip from the Germany performance. You can hear a brief Taranta tremolo the Solea escobilla build up and finally Rumba.
This makes me wonder if a full concert footage reel exists? Would be a real treasure.

Very cool indeed. I didnt know there was any footage of that material. I will add the clip to the relevant discography post.

2 German producers organised a series of flamenco concerts touring Germany and other parts of Europe between 1964 and !970. Antonia La Singla was born in Barcelona in !948. She was completely deaf and mute till she made a partial recovery in 1968. She started in tablaos in Madrid later forming her own company. She was in the film Los Tarantos which starred Carmen Amaya. There is a story of her being called to Carmen Amaya's death bed as a 12 year old. She seems to have disappeared from the radar after the early Paco de Lucia era.

This is awesome. Europe and Germans, in particular, are open to all types of music and dance. They loved Michael Jackson, no matter the controversy.
