I keep breaking my nails doing golpes (and also just normal life). I've tried lots of things including recently silk wrap and super glue. I did three layers on each nail and found it worked pretty well, but after a day or two even the silk wrap nail was starting to bend and crack.
I'm thinking of gluing a bit of a ping pong ball under the nail. Has anybody had success with this?
Only nail problem I have right now is heavy thumb playing filing an arc into the side of my thumb nail tip.
It's not the GLUE it's the fact you glued some materials to the nail and when that stuff comes off, the nail goes with or at least bits of nail. And nails become thin then.
If you just put on the Krazy Glue by itself, no silk or acrylics or plastic ping pong balls etc, it will protect the nail and let em grow. Just don't try to scrape it off and the nails will grow strong and thick as normal.
If you are as long around as some of us, everything feels like a deja vu I always respect a lot the patience you have to still share your enormous knowledge with us, time after time after time.....
I have especially one nail, that breaks but I had an artificial nail put on in a nailsalon, and that really works and stays on for weeks. I'm recently experiencing with Keratex, a hardener for horsehoofs that solidifies the keratin. They say its only for horses but nails are also keratin and it does work. I'm still waiting for my weak nail to grow out after the sanding for the artificial nail, before I can be certain.
i try crazy glue from time to time on the thumb, but it always dries the nail out, and it chips. I'd rather have some wear than chipping.
If you're breaking nails doing golpes, i would have to think you're doing them wrong, or way too hard. I would have to bash a hole in the top to break a nail that way.
