Well, I'm not sure I've posted on the right section, I hope it's the good one.
Actually, I have a question about challenges for beginners; because I saw there was a few some years ago and I wonder if it'll be others in the next months. It is really attractive and seems to be a good motivation for focusing on practicing both on techniques and the compas itself (coming from the substance to the shape, not sure how to tell it in english, kinda late here). That's pretty much what I need but I really don't have the level to pretend in a "regular" challenge, I mean, it is good to "compete" but among challengers with who we have really big level differences I think the judgement over my submission will not be as teachfull than in a beginner challenge.
Well I'm probably wrong, if so, I'll take part in the challenge(s) following this summer ! :D

ORIGINAL: Sr. Martins We're having an "unofficial challenge" at the moment and it has no categories. Just stick around and eventually a new foro challenge will come up.
What makes the current challenge "unofficial"? Put another way, how are "official" challenges different?

Because the official ones are linked to a time of the year and have categories. This one is more like a parallel thing where you're just trying to copy something to win some strings.
