You need to take better photos, but it does not look right.

I just hope you didn't pay huge $ for a supposed Barbero that is highly questionable. A real Barbero costs a pretty penny.

the label and headstock of the photos supplied by the o.p. do not look like a barbero.

and the label unsigned ... could there be some connection through apprentices?
a good guitar is what it is ...

his only apprentice was Arcangel...and Reyes admits to getting "advice" after visiting the shop, that's it. By the looks it is a deliberate attempt to copy the original...the head is pretty baddly done despite coping the general idea.

...and it definitely doesn't look like one of Arcangel Fernandez's heads.

This guitar was in a couple of auctions last year and nobody believed it was a Barbero. I see from ebay that you didn’t pay very much for this guitar so if it plays and sounds well it is a bargain.

I see also that the ebay seller, with refreshing honesty, reports that the back and sides are laminated. In the last few years I have seen plenty of people test the market with impressively labelled mediocre guitars and discover that there are plenty of fools willing to pay large amounts of money.

Everything else is speculation, including what follows.

It looks to me as if the head has been modified by an amateur to try and make it look like a Barbero – perhaps there wasn’t quite enough wood in the original shape to enable a convincing job. If the label is a fake it brings not only the maker but the date into question.
