I live in France and play Flamenco for a while. At first, I studied flamenco alone, then in a peña, but I'm not fond of dance accompaniment.
I love flamenco guitar and how it evolves, mixing with other styles etc. I came to flamenco with Spanish Caravan from The doors ! Then get my first flamenco album, Solo Quiero Caminar. And then I began to listen to others Paco de Lucia albums, then Vicente Amigo, Chicuelo, Tomatito, Pedro Sierra. A little bit of Camaron too, but I don't speak spanish.
I'm not new on this forum : I was only reading from time to time since 2009. But yesterday Mr Grisha Goryachev and I had posts deleted while commenting a Ruben Diaz video where he - again and again, while selling his "revolutionary" guitars - prove how he was good, humble and was the only Voice of Truth and how Mr Grisha Goryachev was not a flamenco player, blah blah blah, said i was a troll and "I mean the clear evidence that he Mr. franciscovega and his guru Mr.Grisha have never played in Spain, what to speak of playing in TV in Spain! " ... sophist as usual.
I didn't knew I had a guru, as Mr Grisha Goryachev didn't knew I was his devoted follower but that "guru" remember me this forum, and all I can find on it, good players, good falsetas, constructive criticism and so much more. This was finally positive for me. I was a little bit sleepy at that time, and it wake me up.
I spent a lot of time playing the same things, because I'm a little bit lazy learning new falsetas/palos, and because I wanted my hands technique to reach a certain level. Now, this level is not that high, but I want to learn to play new falsetas of Solea, Bulerias, Tarantas, Tangos etc. And other palos I don't know.
Sorry for my bad english, I'll try to take lessons !

Hey, take a look at my signature.
That might help you having a focus on your practice (there's TAB). You can check the falseta swap shop thread to see Juan practicing it too, that should be helpful.

Oui j'y suis allé il y a longtemps, mais c'était trop classique (puro) pour moi ce soir là. N'étant pas bercé dans ce milieu depuis l'enfance, je n'apprécie réellement à sa juste valeur que la guitare, un peu le chant, et la danse un peu moins (sauf le danseur qui tournait avec Paco à la fin et que j'ai vu au festival Musiques Nomades à Bordeaux : là, je dois dire que ça m'aurait donné envie de m'y mettre !!)
J'ai un copain qui m'a ramené des vidéos de master class de Mont de Marsan, avec El Pulgar (Diego ?), que je bosse de temps en temps ... en feignant ! Il y a beaucoup de francophones sur ce forum ?

Probably Farru, brother of Farruquito and grandson of the great El Farruco...
I was very happy to see Farru in the 2 Paco gigs I went to after seeing him and his brother years earlier in Manchester when they were barely 20 years old and bursting with energy and fire. It was a shame with Paco he was given such a small box to dance on - perhaps there were fears he'd steel the show on anything bigger (just speculation).

Il y a quelques années que j'ai vu un équivalent de foro flamenco en Français avec pas mal des gens au Paris d'ailleurs, mais aujourd’hui je ne le retrouve pas. Tu le connais??
Si tu cherche le foro pour "foro map" tu trouvera un lien vers une carte de monde de google avec le localisation grosso-modo de beaucoup des membres de le foro, si tu vu tu puisse tu mettre sur le carte.
For vidéos of El Pulga (no "r"), i don't know if i can share them. BTW, he teaches for years in Mont de Marsan apparently. This year too. If yes, these are bigs (5xx+ Mo) videos. Solea, Buleria, Harmonies (not sure of translation), for intermediate level.
I'll have a look on the law about that.
EDIT : This is him !! I was close to him (5 m) and wooo ... he make my day !

Well, at first i'll try to make John Walsh Spring 2015 challenge. My first and only challenge. If i succeed (meaning if i can play correctly) why not ? But when i'm front of someone, all my little skill gone.
But i'm french and live in Bordeaux. My skills with alcohols are greater ;)

Bienvenu! j'oublie beaucoup de mon Francais, but i lived in Montpellier as a kid and learned it fluently back then. Been wanting to go back... How is the flamenco scene, if any,in Bordeaux?

I don't know much about flamenco scene in Bordeaux, as i came to flamenco by listening guitar only (no dance nor singing) and there's a lot af accompaniment in there. Accompaniment is very conservative there imho, and i'don't really like it. But there are several penas in Bordeaux (Academia de flamenca Concha Castillo, Copas y Compas, Leyenda copas y compas, Calle Flamenca, Duende Andaluz and so much more) organising Tablaos once or two a month with good players, dancers and singers. I love compas (hard to approach) and of course copas (not that hard finally) !
"Sud-ouest" (Bordeaux, Mont de Marsan, Bayonne etc.) are not that far from spain, so there are many afficionados in this towns, stages, master class with good teachers as far as i know.
