Al di Meola on the history of Medite... 

This came out recently on YT, quite an interesting story.

Well, when he says a piece that HE "composed", what he means is he reworked Entre dos Aguas with one new chord, and left out the end section, and made that little intro. Paco should have gotten 50/50 composer on that track, and even more kudos for making Al famous on international radio. To be fair, Friday Night would not be as hot with Larry Coryell instead for sure.
