I got the graf martinez dvd for xmas, (lucky boy) and in going over it, since it did not come with a book, is there a way to print out the notation so that one can practice that without stopping the dvd every second? I cant seem to find a way. I sent a email to flamenco teacher but have nto received a reply so if someone knows that answer pls forward until I hear fromthem. It would be good to have a portable record of the lessons so that I dont have to sit in front of the computer every time I want to practice. thankls.
You could buy the book, or you could email Graf-Martinez directly at his website. He'll want some verification information to confirm that you actually did buy the DVD, and he'll email you a couple of files. These files can be opned with quicktime, and is basically the entire score. He did this because the NTSC version can barely be read on the screen. There are alot of people who recommend buying the book, but I just emailed him and received said files. Works well for me.
I watch a portion of the DVD I want to work on then make a short audio loop(so I can quickly repeat exactly the section I want) of the part then use the seperate score viewer to figure out the fingering. One feature I really like is how the score viewer has numbers above the notes for each count.(ie 1-12 for Soleas)
well I sent in the registration infor and the 3 words as specified and have yet to receive a reply. maybe he expects me to buy the book as well. oh well.
It took about half a night to get mine back. I also ordered his metronome a couple days ago. It took almost 12 hours to get the download links back in my e-mail. It looks interesting and helpful but I expected the sampled music to be more than 2 counts of 12 for each compas.(For the Compas Visual portion)
It took me about 3 days and a couple of emails before I received the files. Don't sweat it, but let us know if you continue to have trouble getting the files.
