Happy Lunar New Year of the Ram
Thursday, February 19, begins the first day of the Lunar New Year celebration. This is the year of the Ram (or sheep, or goat, as it is sometimes called.) "Gong Xi Fa Cai" to Mandarin speakers, "Kong Hee Fatt Choi" to Cantonese speakers, and "Chuc Mung Nam Moi" to those Vietnamese celebrating Tet. Happy New Year to all, and may you all have an interesting and prosperous Year of the Ram. Cheers, Bill

quote:
Tet with my lady and her family this weekend! Good food, beer, and fireworks! Can't wait! Happy New Years! Sounds like a great way to celebrate, Lennie. I am a Ram, having been born in 1943. Those born in 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, or 2003 are Rams. Rams are supposed to be intelligent, elegant, and artistically inclined; but are also inclined toward pessimism and resistant to change. (Perhaps "resistant to change" is why I much favor Sabicas over the more "modern" flamenco with accompanying bass guitars and harmonicas!) Cheers, Bill
