I´m slighty dissapointed with this release.
Ok, the presentation is fantastic...very beautiful, really great artwork, amazing booklet, many nice photos...
But a 2 cd anthology? Most people who buys this anthology already own Paco´s collection, I think. This should have been a Double Dvd, having the documentary, and another dvd full of concert footage that we all already have seen on youtube, but has not been released officially yet
The "Live in Montreux" series is awesome, and has a quite large cataloge
Paco recorded there in 1978 and 1984 I think

The documentary has wasted an oportunity to release SOMETHING of that huge legacy on a official release
P.D: Wouldn´t it be great if we all contribute to a Paco´s video list? A pdf where EVERY Paco´s footage is listed. Would it be great for fan and collectors

Well there is a point to have a nice DVD of concertfootage in HD quality...but we can get that on youtube already. I agree more should simply be available commercially for fans. But I remain hopeful that there is more to be made off of Paco's career and growing fame, and in time new (old concerts) will come out. The cleaned up Rito y Geografia series for example is gold. As for the audio CD I was surprised as well, but I noticed the tracks are the ones used to illustrate points in the film, it is not random selection. Likewise, years ago, I felt it was arbitary to have the "Flamenco" CD that couples with Saura film...ie it's the movie "soundtrack". It is a pretty normal thing to do, I for one don't mind it at all.
The best concert footage HD quality available, IMO, is the 2010 concert in Germany where Faru breaks his heel off and Al Dimeola joins him as a guest at the end. That is a great finale to his career IMO, playing is not bad at all especially the buleria solo. While I would love to have it on DVD, nothing stoping me from plugging my ipad into the HD TV and enjoy on the big screen anyway, great sound and picture....the best really, even better than the DVD's I have of older (better performed) concerts anyway.
In terms of a discography of bootleg video...that would be something. If organized by date a single poster could compile a list as Mark has done with the extensive recording discography, but....as much work as it is, it seem quite easy these day to just type in the seach and find what you want to see. Almost everything he ever recorded has been caught on film I think, often multiple times.
PS, that video of Gitanos Andaluces is funny....playback to the live album but with Jose Maria Bandera pretending to sing like his uncle Pepe! holy mili vanilli!!!!

The two CDs from La Busqueda are in fact themes played in the movie, arranged chronologically so one can follow the evolution. It makes sense to me.
And yes, there are quite a lot of videos everywhere and easily accessible, but I would still like to see an official DVD release (agree with Ricardo, 2010 concert in Germany is awesome and bulerias solo is fantastic; also, 2001 Vienne concert is amazing). We have only seen two concert DVDs until now (Germany 1996 and one that came with the old documentary which is in fact a selection of themes, not the whole concert). I think that definitely there is more space there and we should see some new DVD releases (at least I would so like that to happen).
Also for the audio recordings (I was a bit surprised that 2010 live album did not include solo bulerias). Curro said in one interview that there are some recordings never published before (I think he referred to new compositions). He also said that he is not interested in pushing those since La Busqueda was "his thing". So who knows, as much as I would like those recording to see the light of the day, maybe they never will (as Curro said, if Paco never wanted to publish those, then there's got to be a reason for that).

I forgot the London 1981 Special where he´s playing with the Sextet. A compressed mpeg taken from an old vhs is circulating
The Freiberg concert is circulating as a Torrent, in full dvd. It has good quality considering it´s an unnofficial release of a +20years old concert
There is an official dvd called "GUITAR HEROES AT THE BBC" It´s obviously most based on rock, but still has some pretty flamenco clips, with amazing quality: Paco Peña playing bulerías, and PDL doing Almoraima (mistakenly credited as "Entre Dos Aguas" jaja)
-Montreux 2010 is also everywhere, but i recommend to search the .ts HD file. It´s jawbreaking! Seeing PDL is HD is something truly unforgettable
After Paco´s passing, RTVE broadcasted some shows that are now circulating on compressed avi quality
-La Hora de Paco de Lucia (including those bulerias with Camaron that we have all seen one million times, and that infamous quote "The left is creative, the right is an executioner" which brought him so much trouble)
-Almeria 1974: a really important show, because 98% of Paco Video footage is himp laying with the Sextet-Septet. That Almeria footage is, as far as i know, one of the very few clips of him playing solo in the flamenco guitar concert tradition of Sabicas-Escudero
