I'll be in Madrid this Wednesday and Thursday (October 8 and 9). Anyone know of any local bars to hear flamenco at ?

With a 30€ entrance to the show, make sure you have at least 100 € before you start

lots of good restaurants in Espoz y Mina, not to mention the workshop of José Romero, one of Spain´s finest luthiers.

There is a basement bar just down the street from Casa Patas where the artists often go after a show, don´t remember its name.

Candela. About three blocks south, on a corner.

It is a good venue (my favourite in Madrid) and they have started to organise a lot of good shows. I believe El viejin is playing there on Thursday, so definitely worth a visit and I would be going myself if I could.
