Bridge discoloration

One of my guitars developed uniform white markings on its rosewood bridge. The lines run close to the four sides and almost but not quite down to the corners. Also, there are similar white marks around the string tie rectangle. Otherwise, the bridge seems fine.

Any idea of the cause and potential issues?

A picture is worth a thousand words. I have seen white lines in Rosewood before, some kind of mineral deposits I think.
It could also be grain filler of some type but definitely post a picture.

Could be dried out polishing compound.

It could also be the polish drying and lifting away from the bridge. Without a picture it is hard to say.

I added a pic to the original post. Note the white ghost marks. On first impression and from a distance, they look like reflections but are really a pattern of white discoloration.

Looks like blush from moisture in the finish. Have you tried polishing compound to remove it?

I haven't tried that yet but I certainly will. Thanks for the advice.
