A Flamenco practice/travel Guitar an...

Whilst I am spending this year's bonus (pretty much all of it is going on flamenco this time ), I have ordered one of these guitars:

http://www.travel-guitar.com/store/product.asp?sku=EM.AS-100C&nav=m

I want to see if I can carry it in the car, trains and planes to practice at work, customer sites, on vacation etc., without disturbing anyone or damaging/losing my proper one.

It will need a bit of work to adapt to flamenco but it has a nylon, 650mm scale, classical neck width option. The only other one I have seen for flamenco is $1000!, Yamaha have their Silent Guitar but it's $600, longer and doesn't break down well, though the sound is great.

I'll add at least a lower golpeador (maybe with its own transducer mic mixed into the output). Probably benefit from some in-line reverb too. I'll be calling on Tom Whiteley for technical advice.

I'll let you know how it works out. If it does, I'll post an audio and my mods to the forum.

BTW - $300 in the US, £300 in the UK

Simon,
looks interesting, however, there's a Silent guitar on ebay, currently at $225. I'm selling it! It works very well... breaks down into a very handy little case, you'll be so happy bringing this little thing on planes. It's been to New Zealand, and served me well! But I need to drum up some cash. Bid on my silent guitar and cancel your order!

yeah, that's me. very excellent condition, and I highly recommend it to you. I have even used it at some gigs! (although it certainly doesn't sound as good as a real guitar)

Thanks Michael but I can't cancel my order and I like the Sinsonido layout for breaking down (both bouts come off and there is no head length). The sound quality is less of an issue. Hope you get a good price.
