I have been informed by several friends of mine on the Foro that my suggestion that we have a discussion of whether or not to allow insults on the Foro, has been greeted by - insults! I would like to express my deepest thanks for that - it has proven my point better than I could ever have hoped to myself. Here I said that I felt it's better to have a reasonable discussion of things instead of hurling insults, and I proposed a thread for members to express their thoughts on that. How ironic can it get - instead of that discussion we got insults cutting off the discussion. Beautiful! Again I would like express my gratitude for making my case for me so perfectly. One other important point. I was not only referring to myself, but as I had said, I was referring also to the damage done to the Foro's reputation. One example will suffice. A woman classical guitarist asked me for a recommendation for information about flamenco. As I always had, I recommended Foro Flamenco, Old School Flamenco Foro, and several books. She browsed Foro Flamenco and noticed some posts mentioning Elliot Fisk, a well known classical guitarist. As a classical guitarist herself, she naturally knew his name, and so was interested in what was said about him on the Foro. Here's what she read - One member, whose name I will not mention, called Elliot a "douchebag." That's what he said. And why did he call Elliot a "douchebag?" Because he didn't like Elliot's playing. And worse, this member does not even know Elliot, not that it would matter. The woman was nauseated by the comment, as would be anyone - man or woman. That is precisely the kind of thing I was referring to that stains the Foro's reputation, and was most certainly worthy of debate among the members. To the many members who have privately contacted me on my website to express their support and regrets at my leaving the Foro, I say Muchas gracias, y adios amigos. Ramon

You have now made two dramatic exits, Ramon. Are you to inflict a third on the Foro? Your quote, cited above and scripted though it is, is farcical. You did not first hear about a follow-up discussion regarding "insults" from "friends" after your first dramatic exit. It is pretty clear that you were reading posts all along and could not resist a further comment. If you really intend to exit, then have the courage of your convictions and do so. Bill
