Hey from Oakland, California

Hi all, hola todos.

David McLean (Guitarist) here--a newbie to this forum. Well lately I've decided to take a whole new approach to internet/online/facebook/computer stuff. I'm going stop being an old curmudgeon and participate! And man, what a vast resource this forum is. I make my living as a flamenco player here in the Bay Area (with a little construction work on the side), playing little tablao shows, and some theater shows…. I love composing my own flamenco tunes. I spend all of my practice time composing and am realizing that my technique now has a lot of catching up to do…. I'm happy to meet new flamencos here and share some stories/tricks/knowledge. For introduction's sake, I did just make a new wordpress site which I am still working on….www.davidmclean.net (no I am not trying to promote myself and no, I don't take myself as seriously as the site suggests). Ok then….Onward...

Hi Erik,
Ha!, no relation to Don, or to Shirley for that matter, although the McLean clan goes back hundreds of years. It might very well be that Don and I are far distant relatives. My Grandpa once told me I was related to Pocahontas--That's when I gave up trying to find out
