Hello from South Pasadena, CA

Hello! I thought it was about time for me to join this forum. My name is Lou and I've been playing guitar since the sixties. I was a classical guitar major in college and make my living as a composer, mostly cartoons and theme park attractions. Back in 1974, I saw Paco De Lucia in concert at UCLA and haven't been the same since! Flamenco to me goes straight to the soul. I am a newbie at flamenco and now play mostly finger-style jazz. I own two different flamenco guitars. The first I bought from David Russell Young in 1980 when he gave up guitar building and decided to make violin bows instead. The second guitar is a beauty built by Andy Culpepper (#25). I bought it last year from a student at Cal Arts who needed the money to travel. If you follow Andy Culpeppers' blog there are photos of it being built.

Here is a link to my homepage: http://www.loufagensonmusic.com/

That's probably more than you'll ever want to know about me. I hope to be a good addition to the forum and look forward to bouncing ideas around.

Cheers!

Welcome Lou and hola desde Culver City!
My girlfriend lives in Pasadena so I'm there pretty much every weekend, let me know if you ever want the run down on events and other flamenco what not in LA. I like SoPas, Gus's was my spot for a lil bit.

Thanks Popeye. Gus's is a great place. Always appreciate the run down of events as I am very out of the loop.
