Thanks, Anders and Keith, for the technical and useful info. I can use this to try a stock guitar. After a cheapo starter guitar, I will try to save up or get a custom one. Like from Anders.

This doesn't happen very often but I have to admit I didn't pay much attention to the serious side of this thread

All I can say is that with normal sized instruments the neck shape is a big part of how much reach you'll have. Square/shouldered necks makes you feel like you're thumb is being pushed away from the neck thus giving you less "dig in and spread" at the front. Smooth curved (C shape?) necks are much nicer on this regard even if they are thicker at the middle.

Wow, Amos Lora became quite the artist. How old is he now, 13?

I think that's about right 13-14, I remember he was 12 when his album came out and that was about 2 years ago....

Thank you, Rui, about the shape of the neck.

Questions like this rarely come from potentially accomplished players.

Instead of being worried whether your arms/hands are big/long enough you should be on the guitar trying to solve the technical problems caused by these supposed limitations.

My guess is that you haven't run into any.

If you're worried about getting a guitar that you don't like, just go to Guitar Center and get a cheap one. You have 30 days to return it.

I see some people suggested you get a 'flamenco' guitar. Those are more expensive than standard beginner models.

I'm still not convinced you should really be focusing on flamenco rather than just learning basic guitar playing.
