As some of you may know, I've been nursing a left wrist injury and have not been playing guitar at all over the past month. I've gotten bored with my current video library, so I was on the net searching for a fix when I came across Google video blog. There is a video of Paco de Lucia, John McLaughlin and Al DiMeola in a concert shot in Germana circa 1980. Here's the link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4469038249643137580&q=guitar

I have that whole video on a VHS bootleg. Some of it is amazing, some tunes show the guys were getting burnt out. I also bought the "official" Friday Night In San Francisco DVD, direct from Al Dimeola. It is only available at his concerts. I prefered the Germany concert to be honest, but it is nice to have that historic footage, since I am a Paco freak. The quality is really low, VHS bootleg quality. And it reveals that the original famous CD had some serious editing and splicing done. Still if you are a big fan and Al comes your way, you may want to pick it up.

Thank you kind sir, I'll keep that in mind. I couldn't believe I found that video, I mean it's over an hour long. The quality isn't all that great, but it's free, and helping to keep in the game on some level.

over an hour? Is that the vid on line that starts and ends with the whole trio playing? That is only half the show. I have the whole thing, well over 2 hours, that includes the solos and duos during daylight hours before the trio comes on at night. Paco plays columbianas and fandangos. That first part is the best part.
