This is not good practice; if the guitar goes to another guitarrero for repair and he does not know about the taper, it could cause problems, It is very easy to achieve a good fit with gentle sanding and fitting.

I don't think so... it's not enough to be visible or to cause a problem, it just fits a little more snugly. It would only take a few seconds of sanding to get an untapered nut to fit.
