Hello from Chicago

Greetings folks,

My name is Michael, and I am very excited to have joined Foro Flamenco. I am a visual artist, but have played guitar on and off since I was in high school. I have loved flamenco since traveling to Spain in college, and am finally looking to begin lessons. My skill level is modest, I play mostly rhythm guitar but have also begun to study oud, so hopefully my overall style on these string instruments will grow and become more robust.

I am just stopping in to say hello and to thank you for having me. I'll be posting in the general discussions area soon.

Very best,

Michael

an ex-chi-town person here--welcome. have you checked out the flamenco arts center (addison and western) or the old towne school of music on lincoln ave--in between addison and irving park? they are some good flamenco resources in chicago.
