Flamenco in Madrid

I'm going to Madrid in the begging of December for the first time and i was wondering are there any particular flamenco bars/restauranst or what ever that you guys would recommend?

The well known tourist-packed bars/restaurants would probably be fine but i was wondering if you guys could recommend something a bit more "real"...?

I would appreciate it alot!

Niklas

For a flamenco lover Casa Patas is a must. Go for tapas and find out what's on there. Calle Echegary has some good bars with live flamenco, more fusion than puro though. At La Solea you may find something happening, worth checking out. Also check out the flamenco dance school Amor de Dios for some flamenco friends and it would be a good place to find out what's happening.

Here are some more links with good info

Have a good time

I second the recommendation of Casa Patas. I enjoyed the show there, a few years ago. It is a pretty small area. Modern type of stuff.
