Flamenco guitar teachers in London

Hi all,

This is my first post here. I was wondering if any of you could help me locate a good teacher in London who has authentic knowledge and can teach well. I did a forum search but most of the topics are too old for me to know if the teachers mentioned still offer lessons.

Thanks

Try Ramon on this forum. He was a teacher in London and a very good one. Don't know if he still does.

Another possibility might be Francisco Antonio at
estiloflamenco

Good luck

I've been taking lessons from Francisco for more than four years now; he's excellent. He's a very knowledgible and patient teacher, as well as a great player.

I don't know what's your level but he teaches both begginer and intermediate levels as group classes every fortnight if you're interested. I found this very nice since it is regular and pregressive plus you get to meet other fellow guitarists and dancers.

Good luck,
A

I wrote to Francisco on Friday I think but am yet to receive a response. He does sound like a very good teacher. Anyway, thanks all for the recommendations! I'll look into them.

There is a list here http://flamencoinlondon.com/classes/

North of the river, Francisco is your man (he lives near Hampstead and Tuesday night classes happen at Chalk Farm). Ramon Ruiz in Acton and Tony El Despeinao Tonks in Brockley are also very good, so if you live south or west, those are options.

I haven't met Steve in person. I only saw him playing a Buleria on a children's show (Zingzillas) .

He's a very fine player.

Good luck.

Hi mate. I'm based in London too. Work there to be exact. How did you find Steve? Can you recommend him? Thanks!
